Event Details
Your library is full of treasures! Having an accurate map helps your staff and patrons find the treasures they seek. Think of your library catalog as that map--providing many searchable access points resulting in successful and satisfied library users. The more your treasures are found, the more your collection is used and enjoyed. The result: increased circulation and a well-served community. It all starts with careful cataloging.
Fundamental cataloging knowledge can make a positive impact in your library service. Explore the possibilities with expert guide Katherine Williams, SCKLS library support specialist, to gain a deeper understanding of catalog records, classification and searches. Perfect for anyone new to the library world, new to your staff, or new to cataloging.
In this webinar, you will learn basic information about:
- The three steps of cataloging
- Descriptive information and the format of catalog records
