WebinarProgram Description
Event Details
No matter how big (or small!) your library is, there’s always room to get creative with promoting your collection. Your goal? To engage patrons and boost checkouts!
Join guest presenter and readers' advisory extraordinaire Kaite Stover to explore fun, effective ways to make the most of your current space—whether that’s finding new spots for eye-catching displays or highlighting hidden gems on your shelves. Discover display ideas that speak to a range of patrons and feel more inclusive. And learn how to use readers' advisory resources when you're helping patrons, planning displays, or promoting your collection.
Bonus content alert! Based on your suggestions (please fill out the form below), Kaite will take us on a deep dive into two popular genres. She’ll break down what makes each one tick, why readers love them, which titles or authors to know, and what’s trending now.
Walk away with practical ideas, refreshed readers' advisory skills, and a better sense of how to make your collection stand out—without needing more space!
In this webinar, you will:
- Evaluate your existing library space and optimize for collection displays
- Generate ideas for displays using the collection you have to engage patrons
- Distinguish between book reviews, annotations, and book talks — and how to use each in displays, promotions, and with patrons
- Sharpen your readers' advisory skills with in-depth studies of two popular genres

She holds Master's degrees in Library Science and English Literature from Emporia State University. Stover is the co-editor of The Readers' Advisory Handbook (ALA Editions, 2010).
